은별모래님, 말씀하신 “Brunton 발음이 어떻게 되나요”에 대해서요

학생 두명에게 물어본 결과 브런턴이나 브런톤이 되겠슴다. 하나는 중서부 아해구요 하나는 동부 아해.

전 그것보다 “얘네들이 톤과 턴이 다르게 들리기나 하나?”가 궁금했는데… 들린다네요. 그리고 뭐 톤이나 턴이나 그게 그거고. 브론 계열도 괜찮고. 브런툰이나 브런토운이라고만 안 하면 장땡이겠슴다.

현지 발음이라 하시니 또 기억나는게 있지요. 현지 발음이란 무엇일까요? 제가 사는 미네소타 주를 촌놈들은 (여기에서만 주욱 살아왔고 테레비 잘 안보는 족속들)은 미네소오오오타 그러거든요. 뉴요커들은 미네소우타 라고 짤막하게 발음하는데.

그런데, 왠 강사가 그런 걸 따지는지 ㅠ.ㅠ
