Gutenberg lets you edit colors with the hex code, but the Theme customizer doesn’t allow you to edit the accent color with hex. So instead I exported the Theme configuration from Customizer, edited the Customizer and replaced the section where it read s:6:”accent”;s:7:”#EA7C22″, and imported it back. It worked.
