I asked one of the guys what’s up

I’ve been going to coffeeshops and places to be outside of home and doing some work, but they all require something to be bought, which has been either caffeine or more calorie consumption. And then the free places like parks usually don’t have any seating.
And then I found the H Mart food court outdoor seating, which is quite dirty looking (but the indoor option is pretty clean), but other than that it’s air conditioned indoors, can get sunlight outdoors, and the entire place has been so dead since covid that no one is enforcing “seating is for customers only” rules, (except lunch hours probably) and you can get Wi-Fi from the next door Cafe Mooi.. it’s perfect for afternoons.
i found it ominous how these extremely tall palm trees were slowly swinging with the wind in a sky that had nothing but the silhouettes of the trees against the sunlight
I was working here in the mall for about an hour, going up and down the escalator while making to do lists on my phone and chatting with colleagues on slack. I came to the third floor a dozen times but never bothered to look up from the third floor. This mall has a nice roof glass design, which is accentuated at sunset.
