For the past 7 years, I have been keeping track of my expenses in a spreadsheet, as a lightweight data analysis project. (Although I have yet to run a single data analysis of the data yet… need more data points! jk) For the past year, I haven’t been able to enter the data from my receipts, and the pile of receipts on my desk eventually moved to boxes, and now I had three boxes worth of receipts, documents, and other paper stuff I would look into later.
Today I finally decided to just throw out the receipts and give up on entering these dumb receipts which are going into my credit card report anyway. While I slowly moved over the first box because some of the documents are important, I already found three treasure chests:
1. A paycheck from January 2015
2. A sealed envelope with my paystub with a handwritten note notifying me that my salary was increased in March 2015.
3. A package of H Mart gift certificates I got as a end of year bonus at some year in time. (2013??)
Omg this trash jumping thing is profitable!! Here’s to finding more paychecks in the remaining boxes.
